Braving the Pit

The pit in this instance represents your gut feelings. Sometimes we follow these feelings, but most of the time we follow logic, because society tells us so. Following these feelings is hard, and sometimes even painful, because they usually tell you to do something that goes against the “norm”, but they never fail. If we learn to listen to what our body tells us is right and wrong we will reap the benefits over time, because more than us they know what is right.
