The Necklace

The Necklace

Oil, 24″ x 32″, 2005

This painting was part of the first show I ever had, as well as the others that precede it in this category. As you can see it is the only one that does not have a frontal view of a face, which at the time I did not care for. However, it garnered the most attention at the show which I determined was because of its anonymity. This gave the viewer the opportunity to put any face on the figure, which I thought was interesting and which led me further away from representational, figurative work.
